One of the biggest challenges when racing is temperature. Under these heavy loads, the oil temperature can quickly rise and can result in severe damages to the engine if left unchecked. To prevent this, oil coolers are installed to keep those temperatures in a safe and optimal range. But not all oil coolers are built the same. Perrin took steps to provide a robust kit that ensures better temps, but also rugged construction. The kit uses a Setrab core for optimum heat dissipation. The core is fed by Auroquip -10 AN hoses, designed for prolong heat exposure and tight seals. The hoses are wrapped in industrial grade Pyrojacket which can withstand 500 degrees F of continuous heat exposure. Everything is linked to Perrin's own designed oil filter adapter and spacer. This adapter includes a thermostatic switch designed to open at 185 degrees F, which allows the oil to reach proper operating temperature. With custom made Perrin CNC machined brackets and careful attention to detail, makes this one of the most formidable kits on the market.
