When your car is under hard braking or acceleration, the weight transfer of the car causes the front and rear of the car to lift and squat causing significant changes in handling characteristics when compared with the static ride height of the car. Whiteline created their "anti" bushings to prevent this excessive dive and squat on cars that are prone to excessive changes under linear acceleration and braking. By changing the axis of the control arm these kits prevent the lift and dive, and in some cases are able to actually reverse the effect slightly. This makes the car much more predictable during hard driving, and allows you to put the power down better because it keeps excessive loads off of the suspension.
Not only will you notice increased control, but the Whiteline ALK also changes the alignment of the wheels, which can improve the handling and ride quality of your car as well. Each anti-lift kit uses Whitelines premium synthetic elastomer bushing material to positively position the control arm while limiting vibration and road noise. Also included is all needed hardware and bushing mounts which are high quality forged parts to ensure service for the lifetime of the vehicle. Just like standard Whiteline bushings, each application is thoroughly tested to ensure years of perfect performance.
Fitment Notes: Some kits are available in different durometer (bushing hardness) ratings. Soft kits are designed to give all the benefits of the ALK's while keeping the ride plush like a stock bushing. The Medium kits are the standard street/track level upgrade the Whiteline is known for. Lastly, the Hard kits are designed to minimize any bushing deflection under race conditions. Hard kits are recommend for track use, as they can cause increased noise, vibration, and harshness.
